How does F2PDF work? PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Using industry-standard design and PDF assembly technologies, including Adobe Acrobat Professional and the PDFlib ‘block’ plug-in tool for Acrobat Professional, your designers can create templates for a variety of business management and marketing paraphernalia including business cards, flyers, brochures, posters and even multi-page newsletters.

Your designers create the initial design for the required item as they would normally (perhaps using Adobe Photoshop or Indesign) and then use the PDFlib ‘block’ plug-in tool to position static content areas or ‘blocks’ onto the template where content (i.e. text, images, graphics) is to be positioned.  The resulting PDF template is then uploaded into F2PDF, the block areas inspected and then web forms generated for each block area corresponding to the type of block used (i.e. text/image/graphic).  A visual block editing tool is then provided allowing full visual control and assembly of content into the individual block areas for the creation of the new PDF publication.

The simplest example for F2PDF use is for the production of business cards via a business card template, which, once designed, may be used over and over for each new employee without requiring a designer to spend time manually creating a new business in each instance. Any user with access to the F2PDF system can login, generate a new PDF business card publication based on the existing business card template design and then modify the details for the new employee before sending the resulting print-ready PDF document off to the printer.
